The principal private sector business association is the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI,  It has a membership of almost three hundred local businesses from a wide cross-section of the agricultural, productive, service and industrial sectors.  It  accepts Belizean and American members and seeks to promote the commercial interest of its members through networking and advocating for policy with the Government of Belize.
