An agent or distributor is not typically required to set up a business in the Republic of Congo. However, the law does require a company’s bylaws or statutes to be registered in the Republic of Congo and to be aligned to the Congolese commercial code. Congolese law requires foreign companies to hire a General Manager who is a resident of the Republic of Congo.
