Finland has been a member of the World Trade Organization (WTO) since its foundation in 1995. The WTO creates binding agreements that set a regulatory basis for international trade. Finland’s membership in the WTO enables them to make use of the multilateral trade system. Finland is a member of the Preferential Trade Agreements (PTAS) and Regional Trade Agreements (RTAS).
