Strategically placed newspaper and magazine advertisements are good marketing tools in Egypt. Egyptians read newspapers voraciously and advertisements placed in the widely circulating Al Ahram daily will reach the widest possible people. Television is watched by a great majority of Egyptians and offers another avenue for reaching and influencing a wide range of Egyptian audiences. Television advertising has continued to increase in sophistication and prominence. Several private  pop radio stations such as Nile FM, Nogoum FM, Mega FM, Nagham FM, DRN who already have a large youth following, and can be tapped to reach and influence this segment of the population.

Other forms of advertisement in Egypt consist of roadside billboards, flashing neon signs on building roofs, building walls completely painted with advertising signs, "junk mail" advertisements, online advertisements, social media and messenger/courier-delivered direct mail campaigns.

Trade promotions are becoming more frequent and sophisticated and are excellent platforms to reach targeted business audiences or the general public. Several take place each month at one or more of the downtown hotels or at the Cairo International Conference Center (CICC). A new exhibition center, Egypt’s International Exhibition Center, was inaugurated in December 2017where most of the big local trade shows take place. The annual Cairo International Trade Fair, held in the spring, is the main trade promotion event in Egypt.
