Purpose of Data Collection

Cvent has employees located in the UK and EU, but is headquartered in the US. Cvent maintains an HR Privacy Policy that sets out these, among other, criteria: What Personal Data We Collect We process the following types of personal data in connection with employment or engagement with us: ● Contact information: such as name, address, phone, email, and other similar information. ● Identification information: such as passport number, expatriate status, government identification numbers (e.g. National Insurance Number), immigration status, nationality. ● Financial information: such as bank account and payment details, salary and other compensation. ● Information concerning career progression: such as information about performance and career developments as well as, subject to applicable law, information on personality derived from a behavioral/personality test, as well as talent management, conduct and where permissible, information about violation of any laws or company policies ● Information related to company benefits and resources: such as work expenses, the benefits registered for, use of company equipment and resources, travel preferences and information about health and sickness leave. ● Background check information to the extent permitted by law: education, employment history, professional qualifications, membership in professional organisations, and if relevant for job description, credit check information (such as bank account data, housing status, monthly income amount, age and marital status), data related to criminal convictions and offences (if any), motor vehicle driving records, reference checks, civil suit records, and/or investigations into incidents involving theft, fraud, harassment and workplace violence (if any). ● Any other information submitted to us (including during the course of any correspondence with us): such as signatures, photographs, opinions, location (if they choose to enable it on a company device) and any other information provided. On occasion, we receive personal data from third party sources, such as if we receive details of a certification or training obtained, or where we receive feedback or references concerning performance. Why We Collect, Use and Store this Personal Data We collect, use and store personal data for the reasons set out below: ● Where this is necessary for Company to administer contract of employment or for services or in connection with services or benefits requested from us. ● Where necessary to comply with a legal obligation. ● Where necessary for Company's legitimate interests, as listed below, and where our interests are not overridden by an employee's data protection rights. ● Where an employee has given consent. For example, we ask for permission to use an image in a company publication. Where we ask for consent, they are free to withdraw it. Personal data will also be shared with companies providing services under contract to the Cvent group, such as training providers, help desk providers and IT hosting and/or IT maintenance providers. In addition, any requests an employee makes to any member of the Cvent group to disclose personal information to a third party for purposes not otherwise stated herein shall be considered an express authorization or consent by to disclose such personal data. Personal data also will be shared with third party benefits providers, such as for the purposes of obtaining health or life insurance, childcare vouchers and other applicable benefits. Personal data will also be shared with government authorities and/or law enforcement officials if required for the purposes above, and to meet national security or law enforcement requirements, if mandated by law or if required for the protection of our legitimate interests in compliance with applicable laws.
