Purpose of Data Collection
Recurly, Inc. (“Recurly” or “the Company”) is a privately held subscription billing management company. Recurly’s services are designed to manage all aspects of subscription billing on the behalf of its customers (“Merchants”). Customer data is used to process credit card transactions as part of Recurly services performed on behalf of customers. Recurly designed and developed its product to be a “self‐serve” subscription billing management service that provides enterprise-class subscription billing with minimal required effort to set up and integrate a comprehensive suite of functionality. The service includes, but is not limited to, managing the storage and tokenization of sensitive customer credit card information, automating customer communication, transmitting customer credit cards based upon a predetermined billing interval or schedule determined by the Merchants, and providing transaction logging and reporting to Merchants.
