Purpose of Data Collection
Pendo collects customers’ personal information, such as name and email address during the account sign-up process. We also receive information from visitors to our website including IP address, “cookie” information, pages visited, and other statistics. We use this information to, (1) assess use, (2) provide technical administration, (3) increase functionality and user-friendliness, and (4) better tailor our sites to our visitors’ needs. Additionally, if our customers install certain code that we provide on their websites, we receive and store information our customers choose to provide us with respect to their customers (“End User Customers”) which may include personal information. We use this information to provide our services including analyzing usage of our customers’ websites, gathering feedback, and providing contextual help inside customers' applications. For HR data - we have employees who are EU residents, so we process their data for employment purposes, including information required to onboard an employee (name, address, etc.) and to enroll them in benefits (family details, etc.). We disclose our EU employee information to our benefits and payroll manager and to certain cloud providers including DocuSign and Box.com.
