Purpose of Data Collection
VeraSafe processes personal data for the purposes of developing, marketing, selling, and providing privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, and related consulting and representative services. The personal data processed by VeraSafe may include: (1) biographical information, such as first and last name; (2) professional information, such as job title, position, and information about companies or businesses; (3) contact information, such as email addresses, postal addresses, phone numbers, and fax numbers; (4) identifiers and device information, such as IP addresses and associated locations, operating systems, and device IDs; (5) and other information, such as whether or not individuals have opened VeraSafe's emails, information pertaining to the use of VeraSafe's services, details about data protection inquiries or concerns, and any other category of personal data submitted to VeraSafe by data subjects, clients, data protection authorities, or other companies within the VeraSafe corporate group. VeraSafe shares personal data with its affiliates, business partners, and service providers who process personal data on VeraSafe’s behalf, and who agree to use the personal data only to assist VeraSafe in providing its services, or as required by law. VeraSafe’s service providers may provide, among other services: (1) website and application hosting services; (2) software development services; (3) professional translation services; (4) cloud storage services; (5) email software; (6) team collaboration tools; (7) project management software; (8) help desk software; (9) video and web conferencing software; (10) VOIP telephone software and services; (11) Internet messaging software; (12) email scheduling, analytics, and tracking software; (13) office productivity software; (14) professional tax/accounting services; (15) customer relationship management software; (16) accounting software; (17) outsourcing management and contracting software; (18) electronic signature software; and (19) advertising software and services.

At VeraSafe, privacy is what we do. Because of our focus on privacy, we take the protection of personally identifiable information (“Personal Data”) very seriously. In the course of operating our business, we process Personal Data in a variety of ways. This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) addresses the individuals (“Data Subjects”) whose Personal Data we process in the course of providing our services, which include: the following “Professional Services”: -professional data protection compliance and cybersecurity consulting services; -external data protection officer and privacy officer services; -representative services, including data protection representative services in the European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom (UK); and -dispute resolution services, including when acting as an Independent Recourse Mechanism (“IRM”) under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and/or the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (collectively, the “DPF”); and the following “Applications”: -our web-based learning management system; and -our website seals, such as the VeraSafe “Privacy Verified” website seal, and their attendant administrative web application. This Policy does not apply to Personal Data we collect about team members and applicants during employment or the application process, respectively, as described by our HR Privacy Policy. This Policy does not apply to Personal Data we collect about visitors to our websites, or in the context of our sales and marketing initiatives, as described by our Sales, Marketing, & Outreach Privacy Policy. This Policy does not apply to information that is not Personal Data. Personal Data is information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could be reasonably linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular individual.
