Purpose of Data Collection
Non-HR personal data. Electronic Arts Inc. (EA) processes personal data from Swiss and EU customers for certain purposes depending on the product and/or service the customer is accessing. These purposes include to develop and operate the product and/or service requested; enable sales and/or other transactions; enable and adhere to player requests and preferences; serve and measure the effectiveness of advertising; provide technical and customer support; deliver dynamic content and important information about players' accounts, products, purchases, subscriptions and/or warranties; provide software updates; enforce EA's terms and conditions; comply with the law; survey opinions through surveys or questionnaires; analyze data to improve products and/or services; tailor and personalize customers' experiences; and/or to otherwise maintain marketing relationships. EA does not disclose personal information that directly identifies players (such as name, email, or postal address) with independent third parties without the players' consent, unless such sharing is required by law or is reasonably necessary to enforce EA's rights, property or operations, or to protect EA's players or third parties. EA otherwise discloses personal information to agents acting on its behalf with appropriate contractual safeguards in place. EA also processes personal data from those in the EU and Switzerland who make use of EA's publicly facing reporting line and from the key employees of vendors as part of EA's vendor due diligence program. HR personal data. Electronic Arts Inc. (EA) processes personal data from Swiss and EU employees and contingent workers to manage the relationship with these individuals, including to assess ability for available positions, payroll, benefits, expenses, managing operating plans, meeting governmental reporting requirements, security, health and safety, compliance and risk management, protection against theft, legal liability, fraud and abuse, and performance management. EA also processes personal data from EU and Swiss job applicants to assess their suitability for job opportunities.
