Purpose of Data Collection

INRIX processes personal data to fulfill its contractual obligations with customers, improve its products and allow end users to personalize their use of the products. The personal data processed includes name, address, email, username and password, telephone number, GPS location information, device ID, search terms and queries, IP address, cookies, and device, telemetry and diagnostic information. INRIX may also collect calendar, contacts, and license plate if the user consents. INRIX collects customers' and end users' name, contact information (address, telephone number, and email), user name and password to create their INRIX product user account and to contact them, including for customer support. INRIX collects GPS location information, device ID, user preferences and application configuration settings, search terms and queries to provide traffic and parking information requested by end users, i.e. INRIX collects GPS location information to inform users of available parking lots near their location. INRIX products will provide point of interest and routing information in response to a search for cafes near the end user's location. INRIX uses GPS location information and device ID to improve its products. The products rely on GPS information to generate historical and real-time speed, traffic, incident, and parking information. GPS location and device ID information are provided to INRIX from its products' end users and INRIX’s suppliers. INRIX's agreements with its data suppliers require them to comply with privacy and data protection laws. INRIX collects IP address, cookies, device, telemetry, and diagnostic information from its customers and end users to personalize user experience and improve its products. Cookies information saves an end user’s login and settings preferences when they use the product. IP address and cookies information help INRIX understand how its end users use the products (e.g., to learn the popular features of its products). Device and telemetry information include information about the computer browser or cellular device, carrier information, and cellular strength. Diagnostic information includes crash reports and error logs for the products. INRIX's mobile apps may collect end users’ calendar and contacts information and license product information if the user elects to provide such information to personalize the products. In INRIX’s ParkMe mobile app, end users may provide license plate information for verification of the parking spot reservation to the parking operator. INRIX may share personal data with third parties. INRIX uses third-party analytics providers (e.g. Google Analytics and MixPanel) to learn how its end users use the products. INRIX also provides information about end users’ devices (e.g., device model, device signal strength, and carrier providers) to a few of its customers. In the employment context, INRIX collects employees' name, address, email, telephone number, government ID number, and bank account information to pay their salaries, contact them, and comply with tax and employment laws. Health information, nationality, gender, age, religion, and sexual orientation information may be collected upon the employee’s explicit consent to promote diversity in the workplace and determine needed adjustments and accommodations. INRIX may provide employee's personal data to government authorities if required by law, payroll vendors, employee benefits and health insurers.
