Purpose of Data Collection
SG Hosting Inc. (“SG”) has in its possession various types of personal data concerning customers, affiliates, registrants, users, end users, website visitors, participants in events and other individuals, which include contact information such as first and last name, name of the legal entity and its legal representative, address, phone number, email address, language preferences, IP address; payment, tax and billing information; information gathered from survey/contest participation; personal data contained in log files, such as clickstream data, IP address, referral URL, exit URL, browser software, operating system; personal data collected through website analytics tools (such as cookies, beacons and other technologies); and any other information provided directly by an individual, such as customer complaints and other communications (including without limitation recordings of tickets, chats and calls), as well as information received from third parties. SG processes the personal data for the following purposes: to deliver, improve, develop and secure its products and services, to fulfill its obligations under the applicable agreements and terms, to maintain and secure its website, network, information systems and server functionality, to address any queries, to enforce terms, to defend against claims and protect the rights, property or safety of the organization, to notify the individuals for any Service-related matters, to promote its brand, to fulfill its legal obligations. In the course of providing services, SG may share information with third parties as follows: 1) to competent authorities and in response to lawful requests, including for compliance with national security or law enforcement requirements and other applicable legislation; 2) to companies part of the SiteGroup of companies, business partners, external consultants, auditors, collaborators, independent contractors and others; 3) to third-party providers of services such as fraud detection, technology service, internet information providers, payments and data processors, couriers, providers from the finance, media and communication, internet content and information industries, advertising and marketing, technologies, analytics, etc.; 4) in the event of business reorganization, transfers and/or acquisitions; and 5) as otherwise authorized by the individual.
