Purpose of Data Collection

Personal Data processed ? Customer data. We process personal data of students collected by our customers (schools and educational organizations) for our standardized testing services. Types of Third Parties ? Disclosure of Personal Information. That personal data is transferred to our vendors for the limited purposes of supporting services that our companies (Pacific Metrics and ACT Assessment Technologies) do not currently provide such as: hand scoring of our tests and printing of our tests that are not online. Types of third parties ? these generally are US companies also in the test assessment industry such as Measured Progress and Metri-Tech and are bound by contract to comply with our privacy policies. Others include print vendors, language translation vendors, accommodations vendors (vendors for disabled students for example those that translate our tests into Braille) and some vendors that provide electronic transmission and storage of our data. All such vendors are bound by Nondisclosure Agreements and Vendor Agreements that contain confidentiality terms for compliance with our privacy policy and in some instances are agreed to by specific negotiation with our vendors.
