Purpose of Data Collection

This certification applies to the following U.S. subsidiaries of Shopify Inc.: Shopify Payments (USA) Inc., Shopify (USA) Inc., Shopify Capital Inc., Handshake Corp., and 6 River Systems LLC (collectively, the "Shopify Entities"). The Shopify Entities provide a variety of hosted ecommerce software and related online services, including payment processing, shipping, and marketing. Personal information is processed for a variety of purposes related to the particular services provided. For example, the Shopify Entities use personal information to confirm user identity, process transactions, process payments, improve services, communicate with users, monitor and mitigate fraud, and comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Personal information is transferred to third parties for limited purposes in accordance with Shopify's Privacy Policy.
