Purpose of Data Collection

Benevity may collect and use personal information to: • create and manage user accounts; • process and report upon user donations, volunteering, charitable gift card, prosocial activities or other transactions; • provide client service and related assistance to users or the corporate client of the Benevity Site; • perform research and analysis aimed at improving the services, the Benevity Platform and the philanthropic landscape; • display or provide content that is created by users or customized to user interests and preferences; • to operate interactive areas of the relevant Benevity Site; • if the user is a contributor to any of the third party donor advised foundations that form part of the Benevity Platform, to facilitate the user’s donation transactions and to prepare tax information slips or other acknowledgments; • to interact with our client corporation that has licensed the Benevity Site for its employees and other users; • if you the user is a contributor to a news or information forum feature or a user-generated or team fundraising or volunteering event within one of the Benevity Sites, to identify the user uploaded content as the user’s content; • to communicate with the user about donations and volunteering transactions, the use of the Benevity Services, and new products and services; and • to carry out other purposes which are disclosed to the user and to which the user consents, or are permitted or required by applicable law. The following service providers are in use and have access to client data to facilitate our services: • Amazon Web Services - Managed hosting provider • American Online Giving Foundation - US Donation disbursement and receipting • BlueSnap - Payment processing • CyberSource - Payment processing • PayPal - Payment processing
