Purpose of Data Collection

Cogito Corporation ("Cogito") is a leading provider of behavior sensing and alteration technologies to augment human intelligence and performance. Cogito current offerings include on-premise and online tools (the "Subscription Service") that streamline sales and service operations across the global enterprise and related support services (the "Support Service") as well as expert services, including professional services and training (the "Expert Services"). The on-premise tools, Subscription Service, Support Service and the Expert Services are collectively referred to as the "Service". In connection with their use of the Service, customers submit electronic data, which may include personal data about their employees, clients or other individuals, to Cogito's servers. Cogito hosts and processes the electronic data, including any personal data contained therein, at the direction of and pursuant to the instructions of its customers. Cogito accesses the electronic data, including any personal data contained therein, as necessary to provide, improve and support the Service, including updating the Service and addressing customer support issues. Cogito uses a limited number of third-party service providers to assist us in providing our Services to customers. Cogito maintains contracts with these third parties restricting their access, use and disclosure of personal data in compliance with our Privacy Shield obligations. Cogito also obtains certain personal information about its customers, business partners and website visitors and may use this information for a number of purposes, including, but not limited to, providing information about Cogito’s Services, supporting the customer or partner relationship, and delivering marketing communications. Additionally, Cogito obtains, uses, discloses and otherwise processes personal data regarding Cogito's current and former employees and job applicants for recruitment and human resources management, including managing all aspects of the employment relationship.
