Purpose of Data Collection

We collect personal data for purposes including: sales and marketing to consumers and businesses; supplying services to our customers; operating, developing and improving our services; supplier, vendor and partner relationship management; fraud prevention, security; and compliance with governmental, legislative and regulatory bodies. We collect the following personal data from members of our testing community ("testers"): name, email address, city, country, gender, and birth year. Information is self-submitted by testers upon joining the community. Testers are assigned projects testing products and services of Applause's customers and are paid based on the results of their tests. The information we collect is used to assign testers to appropriate projects, contact them about projects, and process payments.
