Purpose of Data Collection
Intermedia collects personal information from website visitors to respond to their requests, for marketing purposes, to help analyze usage patterns, to diagnose and resolve issues, to improve and protect the websites and as further described in Intermedia's Privacy Policy. In addition, Intermedia collects personal information from its customers when they register for Intermedia services, which may include contact details and billing information. Intermedia may use this personal information for billing purposes, to provide notices and information to customers, to help analyze broad demographic trends and statistical information, to diagnose and resolve issues and as further described in Intermedia's Privacy Policy. Intermedia may also collect personal information from resellers, distributors, vendors and service providers for business management, accounting, auditing, and billing purposes. When providing its services, Intermedia processes data, which may include personal information, as a data processor on behalf and upon instructions of its customers. Customers are data controllers. Intermedia does not choose the data that is processed via the services, and any use of such data is performed in accordance with Intermedia's contractual obligations to its customer as a processor. Intermedia discloses personal data to entities within the Intermedia group and business partners on a need-to-know basis, to third-party service providers and as further described in Intermedia's Privacy Policy. Intermedia may be obligated to disclose personal information to public authorities, as required by law.
