Purpose of Data Collection
Highrise is a customer relationship management tool used generally for tracking customer contact details and communications. For our account owners we ask for name, company name, and email address which allows us to send invoices, updates, and other essential information. We store the information on third party servers, but otherwise do not share the data anywhere. Users of Highrise can store any type of information in Highrise, but Highrise does not access or share that data, and does not know what type of data users are storing (unless we need to access accounts for bug reports or per the customer's request). We do also store information such as IP address, operating system, and web browser. Again, this information is generally used for security purposes and for helping identify problems with the system. We do also occasionally use the information in overall reporting to help make decisions such as what browsers we should focus on in testing, etc. Finally, we track cookies and use web beacons to help customize the experience our users have with Highrise.
