Purpose of Data Collection
Clarion Research Inc. is a full-service marketing research company. We collect data from study participants in order to help our clients understand the needs of their customers or members, as well as the general marketplace. This data is often collected through online surveys, though it can also be collected through phone interviews, focus groups and other research methodologies. Research participants are typically consumers, business professionals, and educators. All data is used exclusively for research purposes. This data often includes non-sensitive personal demographic information (e.g., gender, age) collected for analysis purposes. We typically share findings with our clients in the aggregate, without personally identifiable information included. We sometimes also share data files with our clients including personally identifiable information so they can conduct additional analyses. In these cases, the personal data is usually non-sensitive demographic information, as described above.
