Purpose of Data Collection

The Company processes personal details of its EU/EEA customers and its EU/EEA employees (including job applicants) such as names, dates of birth, gender, job title, compensation and benefits information, addresses, telephone numbers, fax numbers, email addresses, account numbers, together with other information which may be necessary for the provision of the Company's services and compliance. Customers and potential customers in the EU/EEA may be required to supply the Company with these categories of personal data in connection with the opening or operation of service accounts, and when the Company provides other related facilities and services. The Non-HR personal data may be processed by the Company for the following purposes: (i) The daily operation of the GC's services; (ii) Conducting customer, product and service surveys; (iii) Direct marketing of products and services in accordance with the GC Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy; (iv) Customer complaints and enquiries; (v) Fulfillment of legal, regulatory and tax duties; and (vi) Compliance of internal policies, code of conduct and similar programs. HR personal data from the EU/EEA may be transferred for (i) Defining employees? assignment to functions, keeping track of staffing, and working time planning; (ii) Internal compensation, benefits, bonus and long term incentive pay calculations and planning; (iii) Travel and emergency tracking; (iv) A worldwide web-based recognition and rewards program; (v) A worldwide benefits program; (vi) Performance management; (vii) Talent and organizational design and development; (viii) Compliance of internal policies, code of conduct, whistleblowing mechanism, and similar programs; (ix) IP rights/ patent management and internal awards program, and (x) Recruitment of employees. The Company will require from its agents that they safeguard the EU/EEA personal data consistently with its Privacy Statements. Examples of appropriate assurances that may be provided by agents include: transfer of such data only for limited and specified purposes in accordance with the requirements of the Privacy Shield, a contract requiring that these agents must process such information based on the Company?s instructions and in compliance with this Privacy Policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures we have put in place; requiring the agent to notify he Company if the agent can no longer meet its obligation to provide the same level of protection as is required by the Privacy Shield Principles. Where the Company has knowledge that an agent is using or disclosing personal information in a manner contrary to this Policy, the Company will take reasonable steps to prevent or stop the use or disclosure.
