Purpose of Data Collection

New Relic provides software and online tools that our customers use to monitor and analyze how their software is working. These include tools for monitoring server operations, mobile applications, web applications, and back end infrastructure, among others. In providing these tools, New Relic processes data our customers submit to our services or instruct us to process on their behalf. New Relic customers can configure their software to send New Relic data beyond simple timing or analytics information, most typically including information like IP address or other user information.
