Purpose of Data Collection
ThreatMetrix is a privately held technology company that assists organizations to protect against online account takeover, online payment fraud and online fraudulent account registrations resulting from, inter alia, malware and data breaches. ThreatMetrix also helps organizations authenticate legitimate users of online services. While ThreatMetrix's services do not require the collection and processing of personal data, ThreatMetrix's business customers may choose to provide such data to increase effectiveness; provided, however, such data is subject to rigorous security and confidentiality standards, including, but not limited to, the use of both encryption and salted hashing to render data anonymous.
