Purpose of Data Collection

Code42 receives personal data from its customers and website visitors in the EU, UK and Switzerland in connection with the software and services it provides. In general, Code42 uses this personal data for its business purposes, including providing products or services; establishing and maintaining customer and business relationships, providing access to Internet-based and e-commerce activities, performing accounting functions, and conducting other activities as necessary or appropriate in connection with the servicing and development of our business and our customer relationships. We also use this information to prevent or detect fraud or abuse of our website, and to enable third parties to provide technical or other services on our behalf. Code42 may also have access to personal data received from the EU and/or Switzerland in connection with the data storage and backup services we provide to some of our customers, but only to the extent such customers select such personal data to be processed by Code42. Code42's access to this type of personal data is as a data processor. As a data processor, Code42 may store and process personal data on behalf of our customers in accordance with their instructions and the terms and conditions set forth in the agreement with such customers. Generally, Code42's access to personal data in such context is limited to the provision of support services to our customers. Code42 also collects personal data from its EU and UK employees for purposes of human resources activities and functions.
