Purpose of Data Collection
In connection with its online advertising technology platform, PubMatic assists publisher clients in making available and commercializing their online advertising inventory. PubMatic collects personal information from its publisher clients? consumers located in European Union (EU) member countries and/or Switzerland to the extent shared with PubMatic by its publisher clients. PubMatic may transmit such information to its data centers in the U.S. for processing on behalf of its publisher clients, in order to help them commercialize their advertising inventory. PubMatic may also disclose such information in connection with onward transfers to media buyers and advertisers that engage with PubMatic's platform and certain third-party service providers acting as an agent on its behalf.

The PubMatic Privacy Policy covers the information that PubMatic may collect or receive across the Internet and other digital formats: 1) from users who (i) visit www.pubmatic.com and other websites operated by PubMatic, including PubMatic's client interfaces, (ii) use its software applications, (iii) use its social media pages, and (iv) receive email messages sent by PubMatic; and 2) through PubMatic's technologies used by its publisher clients, media buyer clients and third parties that PubMatic uses to gather and process information on its behalf. In this second context, PubMatic acts as a processor for the clients who serve as the data controllers for the information that PubMatic obtains from them.
