Purpose of Data Collection

Ellucian receives EU and Swiss personal data from website visitors, customers, prospective customers, partners, vendors, third party suppliers and contractors. Ellucian collects, uses and processes EU and Swiss personal data for the purposes of operating and improving its business. These purposes include providing products, services and support to our customers, hosting and attending events, promotional and marketing purposes, and communications with third parties in order to perform the functions of its business. Ellucian's customers may provide EU or Swiss personal data to Ellucian for storage and processing in Ellucian's applications, or as part of a professional services or support engagement. For data from customers, Ellucian is a processor and processes the EU and Swiss personal data only for the purpose of providing products and services to its customers. Ellucian uses agents, vendors and service providers to process EU and Swiss personal data, and as part of its contracting process with such agents, vendors and service providers, Ellucian requires them to provide the same level of protection that the Privacy Shield requires and to limit their use of the data to the specified services provided on our behalf.
