Purpose of Data Collection

Smooch is a data processor, processing Personal Data of our Customers and their clients for the purpose of providing messaging within their applications and websites. We process personal data from the EU only on behalf of, and under the instruction of, our clients.

Privacy Policy

Smooch maintains a data privacy policy which covers Personal Data for which we are a controller, such as HR and Marketing. We do not collect EU Data for those purposes and they are not in scope for our Privacy Shield certification. The Smooch Privacy Policy is supplemented by the Privacy Statement for Service Data, which contains the required text for Privacy Shield and explains our data handling practices, our commitments and obligations, our relationship with the controller (our Customer) and data subjects’ rights, as they relate to the data we process on behalf of our Customers.
