Purpose of Data Collection
We maintain a database containing limited demographic data on academic researchers (i.e., name, employer, job title, research specialty) and metadata on their scholarly research activities (i.e, publication of books and journal articles. federal research grants, honors and awards). These data are used to create metrics and analysis used for decision support purposes by organizations which undertake and/or support academic research, including universities, governmental agencies, funding bodies and corporations. The types of data we process include organization, client and visitor data.
