Purpose of Data Collection
LinkedIn Corporation (“LinkedIn”) receives and processes personal data relating to data subjects in the EU, UK, EEA, and Switzerland from LinkedIn’s members, customers, and business partners. LinkedIn members provide LinkedIn with personal data in the context of using the LinkedIn platform and various LinkedIn products and services. This personal data is processed for purposes related to LinkedIn’s mission of increasing economic opportunity for all LinkedIn members. The provision of customer or business partner personal data to LinkedIn is at the discretion and instruction of LinkedIn’s customers and business partners, and such personal data includes data relating to the employees of such customers and business partners and data that such customers and business partners provide in the course of using LinkedIn’s products and services. LinkedIn uses such data for various purposes outlined in such customers’ and business partners’ contracts with LinkedIn, including to improve the ability of the customers and business partners to use LinkedIn’s Talent Solutions, Sales Solutions, Marketing Solutions, and Learning services. LinkedIn uses a limited number of service providers to process the data described above and requires such service providers to provide at least the same level of privacy protection as is required by the Principles. LinkedIn processes the personal data described above in accordance with its Privacy Policy and has certified to the EU-U.S.., UK extension and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Frameworks with regard to such processing. LinkedIn’s certification to the EU-U.S., UK extension and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Frameworks does not include LinkedIn’s Glint brand.
