Purpose of Data Collection
Proofpoint, Inc., provides policy-based e-mail filtering, email archiving, email encryption, email controls, secure (encrypted) file sharing, cybersecurity awareness training, policy-based filtering, archiving and control of social media accounts and scanning, protection and control of hosted applications, and data loss prevention (the "Services"). Information can be processed on an organization's own computers, on appliances provided by Proofpoint, or on Proofpoint hosted computers. Proofpoint uses data provided by customers solely for the provision of the Services and related technical support and enhancement of the Services. Additionally, Proofpoint collects data through its website in order to provide evaluations of the Services to potential customers and to provide subscriptions to Services related newsletters and notices.
