Purpose of Data Collection
Indeed, Inc. processes personal data for the purposes of providing web-based technology solutions and services for Job seekers and Employers. We process user data as necessary for sending and hosting job applications for employment purposes. Some third-party service providers are used as sub-processors for various services required to fulfill our offerings to our users, including but not limited to needs such as payment processing and fraud detection. Indeed, Inc. processes human resources (HR) data transferred from the European Union and, as applicable, the United Kingdom (and Gibraltar), and/or Switzerland in the context of the employment relationship.
Privacy Policy
HR Data
Our goal at Indeed is to protect and use Personal Information provided to us as if it were our own. We use Personal Information in the performance of our duties as an employer and as a service provider to our customers. We do not sell, trade or lease Personal Information entrusted to us. We limit access to Personal Information to those who have a business need. Indeed values the trust our employees and customers place in us when they give us access to their Personal Information. The Global Privacy Guideline describes how we work to maintain that trust and ought to be considered in conjunction with Indeed’s Website Privacy Statement. As a note, we are working to update this Policy in line with the guidance provided, no later than the 10th of October. We will update the certification on the finalization of the policy. We tried to add the draft as a reference for the policy that should go live in the next few months. However, the system only allows one document at a time. The draft can be provided upon request.
Non-HR Data
Indeed has a responsibility to protect and preserve the private information of every applicant to a role with Indeed, and we take that responsibility seriously. This Privacy Policy is provided by Indeed, Inc. and its affiliates (‘Indeed’) to inform applicants for roles with Indeed about our activities relative to the handling of personal data concerning applicants (‘Applicant Personal Data’), namely information that identifies or may identify you as a specific individual. This Privacy Policy covers all individuals applying for roles at Indeed, including applications for all types of permanent and non-permanent positions. The primary applicable data controller in each case will be the Indeed entity that intends to enter the employment contract or contract for services with the applicant (Indeed, Inc. will be the data controller of applicants’ personal data who are located in the United States and Indeed Ireland Operations Limited will be the data controller of applicants’ personal data who are located outside of the United States.
Indeed has created this Privacy Policy in order to describe its collection, use and disclosure of personal data users give to Indeed when they access or use Indeed’s online and/or mobile services and websites, and software provided by Indeed on or in connection with such services or websites.
