Purpose of Data Collection
Sprinklr functions as a data processor on behalf of its customers by providing its customers with a social media management software platform. The types of personal information that may Sprinklr collect in order to provide services to customers include, but are not limited to: (1) the first and last names, email addresses, and Sprinklr platform information, such as the user IDs, first and last names, and usage activity of customers? employees, (2) social network user IDs, social network names, social network communications and any associated social networking information, which are processed by Sprinklr?s customers; and (3) first and last names and email addresses of prospective customers. Sprinklr collects personal information from customers for various purposes, which include, but are not limited to: (1) providing our customers with our social media management services; (2) marketing our products and services to prospective customers; and (3) marketing new products and services to our existing customers. Sprinklr may transfer personal information collected from customers to third-party agents, or service providers, who perform functions on our behalf, such as cloud-based services and customer relationship management providers, that we use to provide customers with social media management services and market our products and services. Sprinklr also collects personal information from its employees, which include, but are not limited to: (1) first and last names; (2) mailing addresses; (3) email addresses; (4) telephone numbers; (5) national identification numbers; (6) payroll information and bank account information; and (7) first and last names and contact information of employees? family members, as needed, for example, to maintain emergency contact information for our employees or to provide insurance benefits. Sprinklr collects personal information from its employees in order to perform human resources functions, including, but not limited to, providing compensation, insurance and other benefits, and employee management-related services. Sprinklr may transfer its employees? personal information to third-party agents, or service providers, who perform human resources functions on its behalf, such as third parties who process employees? payroll information and benefits information, outside consultants, and recruiting firms.
This policy covers the transfer of HR data from the EU and Switzerland to the U.S. and the update adds Switzerland to add the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield certification.
This policy covers the transfer of Non-HR data from the EU and Switzerland to the U.S. and the new version adds Switzerland (in order to add the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield certification).
