Purpose of Data Collection
The Slack EU-U.S. Privacy Shield notice applies to data that Slack customers submit through Slack’s online workplace productivity tools and platform. In connection with the provision of these services, Slack receives personal information from its users. To the extent that customers’ employees’ human resources data is included on Slack’s platform, such information is processed by Slack. However, the certification does not cover the human resources data of Slack’s own EU affiliates, which Slack receives pursuant to other data transfer mechanisms.
