Cisco uses personal data received from around the world, including the EU, the UK, and Switzerland online, offline, and/or in connection with products and services primarily for: (1) enabling and providing the requested website, product, or service; (2) customer service activities, including processing orders, providing technical support, and customizing and improving Cisco websites and offerings; (3) sales and marketing activities, customer/business relationship management; (4) internal processes to support legitimate business interests; (5) crime/fraud detection and prevention; (6) security and protection of Cisco assets and interests; and (6) compliance with governmental, legislative, and regulatory requirements

CONFIDENTIAL - INTERNAL DOCUMENT This European People Data Protection Policy (‘European People Policy’) sets out how to comply with Cisco’s Global Personal Data Protection and Privacy Policy (Global Privacy Policy) in respect of People Data which is subject to European Data Protection Law, or which was collected in circumstances in which it was subject to European Data Protection Law ('European People Policy’). Every Cisco worker must respect and comply with this European People Policy. This Policy identifies whose data may be processed by or on behalf of Cisco, what data may be processed, and under which legal bases, depending on the relationship between Cisco and the individual data subject. This Policy also outlines how Cisco will apply European Data Protection Law to the processing of European People Data. Particular areas of focus include individual rights, data sharing, and organizational accountability.
