Purpose of Data Collection
We collect personal data from users of our platform (and on behalf of users of our platform) who add their own end-user data into our platform and integrate with our platform to automatically collect additional data. This data includes customer, client, and visitor data that is supplied by the account holder and/or collected by the account holders end users/visitors. The personal data we collect is typically contact information and payment information (processed by a third party payment processor), as well as any other personal data our users choose to submit to us. We also collect personal data from users of our platform, as well as any end user data they submit to our platform, and general website visitors to provide users with a secure, smooth, and efficient visitor and customer experience. We may also use personal data to: operate our website; provide support or to carry out the service(s) that have been requested or authorized; troubleshoot issues and provide users with effective customer service; distribute alerts concerning product upgrades, special offers, updated information, and information on other new products and services from ActiveCampaign or our partners; to prevent and detect fraudulent behavior or illegal activities, or for such other purposes as required or permitted by law. ActiveCampaign partners with and occasionally hires other companies to provide services on its behalf. Personal data may be shared with these companies; however, the use and amount of personal data shared is limited to the purpose for collection. These third parties are required to maintain the confidentiality of personal data, and they are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose.
