Purpose of Data Collection
ClearStar processes the personal information of customers and data subjects to fulfill background screening requests that have been ordered by customers. Our customers may be employers, other background screening companies, housing providers, or the data subject. ClearStar's collection of customer data is for responding to inquiries and maintaining a customer account. ClearStar may engage agents to perform functions on our behalf, in order to provide services requested by customers or data subjects. ClearStar may disclose EU or Swiss Personal Data to employer clients, other types of clients or their agents who enter into a written agreement with ClearStar. ClearStar may be required to disclose an individual's personal information in response to a lawful request by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.
