Purpose of Data Collection
Purposes: Marketing, sale and delivery of enterprise cybersecurity products and services, including interacting with prospects and customers, providing support services, managing and improving our websites and our products, offering apps and services from our Cloud Services Portal; establishing or administering our agreement with customers, including creating a single sign on for access to Palo Alto Networks online account, our portals, and our online community; verifying customers' identity and entitlement to products or services; allowing customers to register products or services; communicating with customers regarding support services and providing critical service updates; allowing partners to register opportunities; register individuals for events; determining qualifications and suitability of vendors; communicating with users and improve users' experience, protecting our security, and defending our legal rights; subscribing users to newsletters, and managing users' subscriptions and preferences; securing our systems and applications; complying with legal obligations, including responding to legal process or lawful requests. Types of personal data: customers and partners contact information, including names, phone numbers, e-mail and IP addresses, device identifiers; customer logs and unstructured data regarding security events, which may include personal information; vendor contact information; leads and potential customers information, including names, phone numbers, e-mail addresses. We do not sell, lease, rent or give away personal information. We only share personal information with our affiliates, business partners, service providers that process information on our behalf, and law enforcement. If we share personal information, we require those we share it with to comply with appropriate privacy and confidentiality requirements, and security standards.
