Purpose of Data Collection
clicky.com is a web analytics service that customers install on their own web sites via javascript tags. Data about visitors is collected to generate interesting and useful reports on web site traffic to our customers. This data may also be used for security and anti-fraud purposes. The following data are sent to us when a visitors visits a page with our code installed: Page URL, Page title, Referrer, User agent, anonymized IP address, Language, Screen resolution, Mouse event X/Y coordinates. With the default configuration, no tracking cookies are used and IP addresses are anonymized. Customers have the *option* to log full IP addresses and use tracking cookies, for more accurate tracking as well as for security and anti-fraud purposes. To do so requires changing settings however, and we require customers to disclose the full IP logging in their sites' privacy policies. Clicky is a freemium service, which means we make money directly from our customers who choose to pay. Hence, we do not need to share any of our data with any third parties to make money. The only data available to third parties is anonymous general web browser/OS marketshare trends.
