Purpose of Data Collection
Emsi collects the following types of Personal Data from Customers that subscribe to Emsi services: contact information (including name, work email address, work mailing address, work telephone number, and title), company name, payment information, and the school the user is attending (for Career Coach users only). Emsi may also collect the same categories of information from the Customer’s authorized users, or from visitors to Emsi’s websites who choose to provide Emsi with their personal information. Emsi collects the following types of Personal Data from Data Subjects who use Emsi’s online services: username (which may, but is not required to be, an email address), password, email address, IP address, browser type, site activity. What items of Personal Data Emsi collects depends on what service is being used. Emsi discloses Personal Data to third parties only as necessary for providing, developing, and maintaining the services offered to users of Emsi's services. The information Emsi collects is used for the following purposes: *Transactions with Customers (including customer/prospective-customer outreach, satisfying contracting, payment, government reporting, tax, and other requirements) *User authorization for services that require a login *Session management *Customer support *Usage analytics for product improvement *Software error tracking *Network and IT system security Emsi collects the following types of Personal Data from Employees including, but not limited to, name, mailing address, telephone numbers, citizenship, country of residence, country of origin, gender, birth date, marital status, name of dependents, birth date of dependents, occupation of dependents and national identification number. Additionally, Emsi may maintain information relating to employment including, but not limited to, employee identification number, business unit/division of employment, department, physical work location, job code, compensation rate, banking information, supervisor, work shift, hire and termination date, appraisal dates and ratings, training, skills, educational background, language proficiency, certifications and licenses. Emsi endeavors to collect and store Employee Personal Data only to the extent necessary to carry out required legal, administrative, and record keeping purposes.
