Purpose of Data Collection
Urban Airship provides SaaS platform and related services that our customers use to operate aspects of their businesses. These include applications for user engagement, providing notifications via multiple channels, including mobile application based notifications, in-app or browser based notifications, email, mobile wallet passes and voice notifications. In providing access and use of the SaaS platform and related services, Urban Airship processes data our customers submit, upload or instruct us to collect on their behalves. While Urban Airship's customers, as data controllers, decide what data to process, it typically includes information regarding users of customers' digital properties, such as mobile applications, websites or emails. Urban Airship uses a limited number of third-party service providers to assist us in providing our services to customers, such as transmission of data, storage of data, database monitoring, and provide related services. These third parties may access, process, or store personal data in the course of providing their services, and Urban Airship maitains contracts with these third parties restricting their access, use and disclosure of personal data in compliance with our Privacy Shield obligations.
