EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework: Active
Purpose of Data Collection
The GovDelivery system has two classes of users: Agency administrators and citizens who wish to receive information from the Agency. Agency administrators must provide their name, email address, and (if the agency wishes to use two-factor authentication) phone number. By default, the GovDelivery system requires only an individual citizen's email address to function. Optionally, a government agency can work with the GovDelivery implementation team to request other optional information such as name, phone number, zip code, and the like. This data is never used by GovDelivery and is instead only used by the government Agency to provide information/services to the citizen. GovDelivery does not utilize any of the data for anything other than providing the service, and there is no disclosure to third parties.
