Purpose of Data Collection
LivePerson offers a platform that enables our business customers ("Customers") to communicate with, interact with, and deliver content to visitors to their websites, applications, or third-party sites and applications in real-time via chat, messaging, voice, email and other communication and delivery methods. In providing these solutions, we may obtain information from visitors such as name, contact information, information the visitor chooses to provide through the services, and other information to facilitate service. Visitors may also be asked to complete a pre- or post-interaction survey in order to allow our Customers and LivePerson to obtain valuable feedback. LivePerson maintains transcripts of chats, messages, emails and other communications conducted between a visitor and LivePerson Customer agents using LivePerson's engagement technology. LivePerson also maintains copies of surveys may record and maintain recordings of voice or other communications. We use log web browser information (e.g., Internet Protocol addresses and browser types) and other usage information from the LivePerson Customer's website, app, or third-party website or app. If a user of the LivePerson services is using a mobile or other device to visit the LivePerson Customer's website, we may collect hardware information related to the device used by the user. LivePerson's services use cookies and other technologies to collect and store information that is generated automatically as you use the services or a LivePerson Customer's website, app, or third-party website or app, including your preferences and anonymous usage statistics. LivePerson uses a limited number of third-party service providers to assist us in providing our services to Customers.

This privacy policy applies if you visit LivePerson’s corporate websites or social media or other web pages located on third-party websites, use any mobile application(s) provided by LivePerson or register to attend any of LivePerson’s corporate events. This privacy policy also applies if you use LivePerson’s websites, hosted services, products, applications and/or content (collectively, the “Services”) directly or through a LivePerson customer (for example, on a LivePerson customer’s website or mobile application).
