Purpose of Data Collection
In order to provide its aeronautical connectivity service offerings, it is necessary for Panasonic Avionics Corporation (Panasonic) to collect certain information about users of such service offerings, including, but not limited to, account user name, IP address (local and public), session information, other usage data, and related transactional data. Some of this Personal Information may be provided to Panasonic by its service partners. Another set of personal data collected by Panasonic pertains to Human Resources activities including recruitment, employment, and provision of related services.

HR and Non-HR Data
The Panasonic Avionics Corporation Privacy Policy covers both Non-HR and HR data and lays out strict requirements for handling personal data pertaining to customers, prospects, business partners, and employees. Please see specifically, Section 10 (Privacy Shield). It meets the requirements of the US-EU Privacy Shield framework and the US-Swiss Privacy Shield framework and ensures compliance with the applicable principles of national and international data protection laws in force in all jurisdictions where Panasonic and any affiliates or subsidiaries have a business presence. The policy sets a globally applicable data protection and security standard for Panasonic and regulates the sharing of information between all business units, subsidiaries and affiliates.
