Purpose of Data Collection

Lookout, Inc. collects, stores and processes personal data from users in the EU and EEA to provide those users with basic mobile endpoint security services as well as identity protection services as part of the Lookout Premium Product Offering. In order to be able to provide these services Lookout Inc., transfers consumer personal data from the EU to Lookout subsidiaries in the United States. To the extent that Lookout collects Human Resources personal data to provide employment services or benefits, such information is also transferred from the EU and/or Switzerland to Lookout subsidiaries. Lookout Inc., maintains Privacy Policies to ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements.

(“Lookout,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is responsible for the processing of Personal Data in relation to various human resources functions. Lookout complies with the principles of the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield and US-Swiss Privacy Shield (US-Swiss pending) programs, fedRAMP and the GDPR regarding Personal Data that we receive from our European Lookout affiliate. (“Lookout” or “us” or “we”) provides this Privacy Notice (the “Notice”) to inform you of our practices regarding the collection, use and disclosure of information we receive from users of the website, any other Lookout sites that link to this Notice, other Lookout events such as trade shows or sponsored events (collectively, the "Site"). How we use your information will vary depending on the type of data as described below: • Addressing customer inquiries – we use Identification Data, and Contact Data to address customer inquiries so that you may receive a response from us when you contact us. • Sending relevant marketing messages and inviting you to events/seminars – we use Identification Data, Contact Data, Cookie and Device Data, and Event Registration Data to communicate with you by way of email alerts and mail to provide you with information about product announcements, and special promotions from Lookout or our business partners, to invite you to events that may be of interest to you, or to administer participation in surveys, contests and sweepstakes. You can choose not to receive such marketing communications by clicking on the unsubscribe link in our emails, as further described below. • Improving our Site – we use Cookie and Device Data to improve the functionality and user-friendliness of our Site. If you fill out a survey or email Lookout for support, we may retain that information in order to provide you with support and to improve our Site. • Keeping our Site and IT systems and processes safe – we use Identification Data, Contact Data, and Cookie and Device data to ensure the security and confidentiality of your data, and to prevent illegal activities, including fraud, which could harm you and us. • Recruitment – Job Applicant Data is collected and processed for purposes of screening, identifying, and evaluating candidates for positions; and record-keeping related to hiring processes. This processing is necessary in order to take steps at the request of the job applicant in the context of recruitment prior to entering into a contract and may be used as necessary to comply with legal, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements.

This document is our Personal Application Privacy Notice (the “Notice”), which describes what information we collect from you when you use the Lookout Personal Application (the “Personal App”) and how we use that information. It is important that you read the Notice along with the Lookout Terms of Service (available at because both apply to your use of the Personal App. Any information that is collected from you by Lookout other than through the use of the Personal App will be subject to a different privacy notice. This Notice may be revised to keep pace with changes in our products and services and laws applicable to Lookout and you. If we make material changes to this Notice, then we will notify you. If you do not wish your information to be subject to the revised Notice, you will need to close your account. This Notice can be accessed from the Lookout mobile application login screen, from the settings in the Lookout Personal App, and from our company’s website.
