Purpose of Data Collection

ACCENT utilizes personal data (name, gender, address, age, passport number, university or college) solely for the purposes required for participation in its study abroad programs. Personal data will not be used for any other purposes. The personal data that is provided, including verbally or otherwise acquired in the area of interest of Accent's business activity, can be used, in respect of the regulation mentioned above and include the obligation of confidentiality. By use of personal data, Accent means “any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction”. Personal data may be processed for the following purposes: a) To fulfill the obligations provided for by law, regulations, and community legislation, or by instructions given by authorities legitimized by the law, or by supervisory bodies. b) The purposes is strictly connected to the activity of coordinating and managing academic activities, with particular reference to the organization of courses of language and culture for foreign students, assistance to the same students in relation to accommodation and may include preparation of the necessary procedures for obtaining residence permits or student visas, etc. c) Use of methods of recognition that will be used to allow access to the facilities, as ID cards complete with full names and head shots. The use of transfer of personal data as listed in a) b) and c) is mandatory and refusing to providing them will determine the impossibility of carrying out the treatments indicated therein. Entities, and categories of entities to whom personal data can be communicated: a) Public bodies and offices with regard to legal obligations. b) Entities that will provide consulting services strictly connected and instrumental to the management of administrative activities, accounting, security, educational activities and services related to the reception and movement of the subjects involved. c) Companies specialized in services related to security, educational activities, and services related to the reception and transportation of the interested subject, with the appointment of external bodies. d) The processing of data carried out by these subjects has as its purpose 1. providing supplies and services connected to the activity described in c) 2. management of the relationships with customers and suppliers and fulfillment of their obligations. 3. statistical processing in anonymous forms. 4. we clarify that these subjects, as external entities, will autonomously perform the processing of data, communicated by the Controller of Data, as expressed in article 28 of the GDPR. Processing modalities: In relation to the stated purposes, the use of personal data takes place via manual, computerized and telematics tools and also through virtual platforms (cloud). The processing of data is strictly related to its finalities and to guarantee security and confidentiality. Data is used in the EU territory and in the USA but the company is subject to communicate any transfers of the same to other countries outside the EU. Data Retention Period: Data will be kept for as long as necessary for their processing in compliance with the purposes and the underlying contractual agreements. The interested party has the right to oppose at any time the processing of personal data concerning him/her. The holder will refrain from further processing personal data unless it proves the existence of binding legitimate reasons that override the interests of the data subject's rights.
