Purpose of Data Collection

Accurate Background conducts background screening, searches and reports for its customers who have a legal purpose for conducting such background screening. Accurate collects and processes personal data, sensitive personal data, as consented to by the data subject, and other non-identifiable personal information either directly from the data subject, the customer, employers engaged in conducting employment screening and indirectly from publicly available sources for the purpose of conducting the background check/screening. Accurate may collect personal identifying information, employment or education history, occupational health data, criminal history data, where permitted, financial data, driving records and other personal data that may be requested by our customers. To conduct the screening, Accurate may engage with a third party to assist with fulfilling the screening and may disclose personal data to such third party. Any third party which Accurate discloses any personal data are required to enter into an Agreement with Accurate where Accurate can maintain oversight over the personal data to assure compliance with our privacy requirements. For Accurate employees or those seeking employment with Accurate, Accurate may collect personal data for the purpose of performing our human resource functions such as compensation, insurance, hiring, benefits, or other employment related functions.
