Purpose of Data Collection

The types of personal data processed by the organization generally include organizational and customer type data. Organizational type personal data received from the organization’s employees in the European Economic Area and Switzerland is processed for the purpose of administering compensation programs and other business purposes related to the management of its workforce, such as business reporting, systems reporting and access, workforce analyses, employee performance reviews and training. The organization discloses organizational type personal data to third party service organizations that, for example, administer employee compensation, manage employee training and manage other business related systems, such as email. Customer type personal data received from the organization’s websites is processed for the purpose of allowing customers to register for an account on the organization’s websites; customizing the customer’s experience on the organization’s websites; and other business purposes, such as alerting customers to products and services that can assist in their business, sending email alerts, providing brochures or catalogs, sales manuals, service manuals, demo videos, promoting website registration, assisting in order processing, responding to a customer’s request for a line of credit, and to provide services requested by the customer. The organization discloses customer type personal data to third party service organizations that, for example, manage the organization’s websites and send emails on its behalf, ship goods, process payments, offer customer service, market and sell products, provide credit; and other third parties as required by law, to protect the safety of customers and others, investigate fraud, in response to a government request, and to which customers have provided prior consent.

Invacare Corporation’s Privacy Shield-compliant HR privacy policy is available for viewing by affected employees on the organization's internal SharePoint site, which can be accessed by all employees with a company issued email account.
