Purpose of Data Collection

Our primary goals in collecting information are to provide and improve the Netpulse Services, to administer user’s use of the Netpulse Services (including user’s account, if user is an account holder), and to enable user to enjoy and easily navigate the Netpulse Services. User may use some of the Netpulse Services without registration or providing any personal information to Netpulse. In order to provide the full personalized range of the Netpulse Services, we may collect the following types of information: • Information user provides – When user signs up for a Netpulse account or other Netpulse Service that requires registration, we may ask user for personal information, which includes personally identifiable information about user (information that can be used to identify user, such as user’s name and email address). If user chooses to create an account through one of user’s accounts with certain third-party social networking services such as Facebook or Twitter (each, an “SNS Account”), user may have to provide us with user’s username (or userID) so that user’s identity can be authenticated by the SNS Account. When the authentication is complete, we’ll be able to link user’s account with the SNS Account and access certain personal information, such as user’s name and email address, and other information that user’s privacy settings on the SNS Account permit us to access. We don’t receive or store passwords for any of user’s SNS Accounts. • We also collect some non-personally identifying information about user, which on its own cannot be used to identify user, such as user’s home club, gender, weight, the name of user’s personal trainer, workout schedule, user’s workout data (such as the length and intensity of a workout, time of workout, equipment used, calories burned, distance, average speed), other activity and physical data, and an account password. • User has the option to provide additional information, some of which is personally identifying information, such as postal address, phone number, user’s time zone, a picture for user’s profile and a short description about self, but these items are not required. We also record and store information of user’s entertainment preferences during user’s workout, such as user’s music playlist and favorite TV channels. We may combine user’s non-personally identifying information with the personally identifiable information user submits to improve our Netpulse Services to user. • Cookies – We collect certain information through the use of “cookies,” which are small text files that are saved by user’s browser when user access the Netpulse Services. We may use both session cookies and persistent cookies to identify that user has logged in to the Netpulse Services and to tell us how and when user interact with the Netpulse Services. We may also use cookies to monitor aggregate usage and web traffic routing on the Netpulse Services and to customize and improve the Netpulse Services. Unlike persistent cookies, session cookies are deleted when user logs off from the Netpulse Services and closes user’s browser. Although most browsers automatically accept cookies, user can change user’s browser options to stop automatically accepting cookies or to prompt user before accepting cookies. Please note, however, that if user doesn’t accept cookies, user may not be able to access all portions or features of the Netpulse Services. Some third-party services providers that we engage (including third-party advertisers) may also place their own cookies on user’s browser. Note that this Privacy Policy covers only our use of cookies and does not include use of cookies by such third parties. • Log information – When user accesses the Netpulse Services, information generated during user’s session will be automatically recorded and stored on our servers.
