Purpose of Data Collection

PulsePoint receives data from visitors to our websites and from individuals served ads through our ad exchange. Website: PulsePoint collects data linked to a user’s device such as IP address, browser type, language, access times, pages visited, referring website addresses, device type and model, operating system, carrier name, mobile browser, applications using our websites, identifiers assigned to a user’s device, and location information (such as zip code, the approximate geographic area provided by a user’s ISP, or location positioning information provided by the location services and GPS features of a user’s mobile device when location services have been enabled). PulsePoint may also collect and retain any personally identifiable information that the user submits through our website, which is often business contact information and may include first and last name, physical address, e-mail address, and phone number. PulsePoint uses this data to respond to inquiries initiated by individuals; provide services requested by such individuals; alert businesses and prospective businesses to changes in services or features; provide businesses and prospective businesses with requested information regarding PulsePoint’s services; assess the use and operation of PulsePoint’s websites, such as how many users visited the websites and the pages accessed; and retargeting PulsePoint ads to users across the Internet. PulsePoint may share this data with affiliates, subcontractors, vendors, and other businesses who provide data processing services. Exchange: PulsePoint and its advertising partners, or data providers from whom we license data from collect data that may include data that is related to a user’s computer or device, including which websites the user has visited and information about that visit, apps visited, type and model of device, and identifiers assigned to the device, IP address, and location information, such as zip code or approximate geographic area provided by the user’s ISP or location positioning information provided by the location services and GPS features of the device when location services have been enabled; and information about the user, such as email address, gender, demographics, precise location positioning, information related race or ethnicity, and information related to health, including medical conditions and treatments, and prescription information. PulsePoint uses the data to better target ads. PulsePoint also uses data to serve ads to more targeted audiences. PulsePoint shares this data with buyers of advertising, and their agents or companies assisting with the targeting and delivery of advertising.
